Pivotal Physiotherapy`s Athletic Development and Recovery Centre (ARC) is proud to present the first mental performance intensive workshop!

A recent study out of Harvard shows that our mind wanders over 50% of the time during the day. This is time spent either ruminating on the past or being anxious about the unforeseeable future. This is not an ideal place for peak performance to occur. We perform at our best when we are fully engaged and present in the moment, not preoccupied with variables outside of our control. In other words, we perform our best when we are in a state of flow. Most of us have experienced flow in one way or another, whether that is having an amazing game, where everything felt fluid and effortless, or perhaps in a conversation with a friend where time seemed to dissipate because both parties were fully engaged.
Flow is an optimal state of consciousness where we feel our best and perform our best. It is a mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity.
Pivotal is proud to present “Foundations of Flow”, a 3-day workshop geared towards optimizing your ability to enter the zone. In this workshop, you’ll learn about the science behind optimal states and how to train yourself to get there. Flow is a fragile state; the more we try to get into it, the less chance it actually occurs. But with the right tools and training, you can better suit your psychological framework to become more prone to flow. At the end of the day the only person that can take you to the next level, is you. But with the right guidance we can help get you there.
