Hi Everyone! My name is Tyler Tytgat (he/him) and I am a kinesiologist at Pivotal Physiotherapy’s High Performance Centre. I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelors in Kinesiology, focusing in Sport Performance.
My journey in rehabilitative exercise therapy did not start with my own injuries as I was very lucky when I was an athlete. While I did (and still do) compete nationally in 5-pin bowling, it was my sister who was the frequently injured one in the family. From her athletic journey, I became fascinated by the human body and its ability to heal itself through activity. I love to watch patients explore their body’s potential post injury and help them reflect on how much progress they make. You will see me around the clinic trying to make sure everyone is having a good time because I believe laughter is just as important as a strong exercise program.
When I am not in the clinic, you can find me at the bowling alley (or on YouTube), playing volleyball with friends, listening to true crime or trying new food!
I can’t wait to help get you back to your best life!
