MScPT, Functional Dry Needling
Hi, I’m Harley, a physiotherapist at Pivotal Northgate in Edmonton.
I graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta, following a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (with Distinction) from the U of A. Prior to physiotherapy, I worked as a personal fitness trainer.
As a lifelong athlete through karate, wrestling, weightlifting, volleyball, and over a decade of rugby, I’ve spent plenty of time on the other side of the treatment table. Those experiences as a patient sparked my deep fascination with anatomy, physiology, and the body’s remarkable healing process. Today, I draw on that firsthand understanding to create personalized rehabilitation programs tailored to each unique injury and, more importantly, each unique person.
What I value most about physiotherapy is the relationships I build with my patients. Whether you’re a competitive athlete looking to return stronger, a weekend warrior battling old injuries, or someone who hasn’t been active in years and simply wants to move better, my goal is the same: to help you stay in the game and perform at your best. I take time to understand the specific demands you place on your body and create a treatment plan that truly fits you.
I do not believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach. To achieve the best results, I use a variety of evidence-based techniques including functional dry needling, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise. Central to every care plan is patient education. I want you to understand your injury, the plan we create together, and how to take an active role in your recovery. To me, physiotherapy is something done by and with you, not to you.
Outside the clinic, you’ll often find me skiing the slopes in the mountains, or hiking deep in the backcountry with my phone turned off. Around Edmonton, I play in the Sport and Social Club leagues, bike the river valley trails, and spend the summers on the golf course (usually searching for my ball in the rough).
I look forward to meeting you and helping you move and feel better!
