MScPT, Functional Dry Needling
Hi! I’m Brandon, a Physiotherapist at Pivotal Physio Northgate. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta where I discovered my passion for Human Anatomy, Physiology, and Health & Fitness.
Shortly after graduating, I moved to Sydney, Australia to complete my Master’s in Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney where I continued to foster my passion for Biomechanics. My journey with Pivotal has come full circle as I’ve completed my Kinesiology practicum at Pivotal’s Northgate location, worked as an assistant, and shadowed as a Physiotherapy student.
I was drawn to becoming a Physiotherapist because of the valuable relationships I get to build with my patients while working one on one with them through their rehabilitation. Most importantly, it is so rewarding to be able to help an individual get back to what they love doing. It is never a boring day being a Physiotherapist as every patient who walks through the door will have a different story.
Because of the variety of injuries Physiotherapists encounter, I’m always eager to help develop a tailored treatment plan to help each individual get back to their goals. My approach to treatment consists of Therapeutic Exercise, Manual Therapy, and education. My goal is to be able to empower patients with the knowledge of Therapeutic Exercise and its continual benefits for lifelong health and wellness, even when injury has been alleviated.
Outside of the clinic, I love anything sports related. You will most often find me playing squash, badminton, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, or doing hot yoga. However, I’m always looking for the next opportunity to learn something new and challenge myself. Besides a love for being active and playing sports, I am also a nerd when it comes to photography and videography!
Looking forward to meeting you!
