Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST)
My love for athletics and health began at a young age. I enjoyed playing in a variety of sports, but my main focus was wrestling. I was asked to compete for the varsity team at Brock University, where I also completed a Bachelor in Kinesiology in 2009. Throughout the 14-years in competitive wrestling, I experienced a long list of various injuries. I spent a fair amount of time in the physio setting and was very thankful to have a team of professionals who were invested in my success and devoted their time to get me back on the mat as soon as possible. With this experience, I accredit my pursuit in a career in Massage therapy along with my interest in the human body and it’s extraordinary ability to adapt, heal and rebuild. I’m a graduate of MH Vicars School of Massage therapy 2200 hour program.
I know firsthand how frustrating an injury can be, especially when it takes you away from what you love to do whether it’s your sport, your job, or a hobby. As a massage therapist, I can alleviate pain and discomfort by manipulating the soft tissue and joints of the body in an effort to help my clients be the best versions of themselves, and get back to what they love to do!
My treatments involve working in cooperation with clients, to problem solve current issues and better their future health through Therapeutic Massage and Remedial Exercise by addressing both the direct and indirect causes of their pain. I am currently trained in Therapeutic Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilization, PNF Stretching, pre/post event Sports Massage, and I am currently trained in Therapeutic & Deep tissue Massage, Myofascial Cupping, Pre/Post Event Sports Massage, Pre/Post Natal Massage, Fascial Stretch Therapy, and Rapid Neurofasical Reset Upper & Lower.
When I am not in the clinic, you will find me enjoying the outdoors with my two young kids, husband, and extra large dog, Mr. Hank. I look forward to meeting you!
