Nik Forest

Hi, I’m Nik! I completed my Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Alberta in 2019 and after working for a year as a commercial banker, I was accepted into the Master of Science in Physical Therapy program, also at the University of Alberta. As a competitive hockey player growing up, physiotherapy played a huge role in both preventing injuries and allowing me to return to the sports I loved. My personal experiences with physiotherapy stuck with me and led me to pursue a career in the field.

My treatment philosophy consists of a combination of education, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise that aim to achieve my patient’s goals. Education is a huge component to the rehabilitation process and I believe that it can have a significant impact on patient outcomes. As well, I believe that it is important to get to know my patients in order to identify what is important to them and develop the best possible treatment plan to achieve their goals. My previous experiences have allowed me to develop a special interest in the prevention and rehabilitation of sport-related injuries, as well as hip, shoulder, and knee rehab.

In my time outside of the clinic, I enjoy seeking out the best coffee Edmonton has to offer, lifting weights, participating in sports such as golf, hockey and basketball, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to meeting you and getting you back to the activities you enjoy!
