Hi! My name is Emily. I am originally from Victoria, BC where I completed my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria. I then moved to Edmonton to complete my Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. Being a competitive triathlete in the past along with the knowledge learned from my degree in Kinesiology fueled my deep interest in becoming a physiotherapist. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I became fascinated with the study of human movement. My passion for helping others move better, paired with my joy in getting to know people from all walks of life has directed me to this very rewarding profession.
My treatment philosophy is founded on providing optimal and quality patient care. I strive to create a positive and uplifting atmosphere to support my patients through their individual and unique journeys. Knowledge is power and I am a firm believer in active and purposeful treatment through education, therapeutic exercise, and manual therapy. I am excited to work with anyone who walks through the doors of Pivotal Physiotherapy and am excited to help you get to where you want to be and to achieve your rehabilitation goals.
When I’m not in the clinic, you can find me hiking and camping in the mountains, running, road cycling, and swimming in lakes. In the winter I love to downhill ski and since moving to Edmonton I have picked up cross country skiing and bouldering. On a more musical note, you can occasionally find me singing and playing guitar at open mics in Edmonton!
