Hi, I’m Ben. I graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia. Prior to that, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Honours) at the University of Victoria. My passion for physiotherapy began after observing the tremendous impact that a structured and committed rehab plan could have on recovery. Having spent years competing in various sports meant I saw first hand the impact that injury could have on lifestyle and function. While not everyone is looking to get back to sport, it still forms the basis of my physiotherapy aim – get you back to doing what you love, faster.
Having rehabbed through numerous injuries myself, I understand the importance of working with each person to develop an easy to understand and personalized rehabilitation program that incorporates their preferences and goals. In my physiotherapy practice, I utilize a combination of manual therapy, exercise prescription, personal and clinical experiences, and patient education to ensure that each person receives the care and knowledge they require to recover successfully and safely. In particular, I have a special passion for all things related to rock climbing performance and rehabilitation.
Growing up, I was a competitive hockey and lacrosse goalie, as well as squash player. Now, when not in the clinic, I’m likely to be found rock climbing, playing board games, enjoying the mountains or attempting to keep my skis together on the slopes! I’m looking forward to meeting you and getting started on whatever rehab or performance goals you might have!
